This bill records the acknowledgements and apology given by the Crown to Ngāti Mutunga in the deed of settlement dated 31 July 2005 between the Crown and Ngāti Mutunga; and gives effect to the deed of settlement in which the aforementioned two parties agree to a final settlement of all Ngāti Mutunga historical claims in Taranaki
