Parental Leave and Employment Protection (Paid Parental Leave for Self-Employed Persons) Amendment Bill

This bill extends the paid parental leave scheme to self-employed persons who are not currently covered by the Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act 1987. It provides for 14 weeks' paid parental leave for self-employed mothers who have been working an average of 10 hours per week during either the previous 6 or 12 months prior to delivery.
