Will the Finance and Expenditure Committee give consideration to the proposed banking inquiry at its meeting this week?

The committee is scheduled to spend time this week considering whether to initiate an inquiry into the relationship between the official cash rate and short-term interest rates. This matter is scheduled to be considered from 10.50 a.m. to 11.45 a.m.

Does the chair anticipate that this will provide sufficient time to consider whether to proceed with an inquiry during the meeting this week?
