When does the committee expect to report on the 2006-07 financial review of the Department of Corrections?

The committee is in the final stages of its consideration of the 2006-07 financial review of the Department of Corrections, and we expect to report back to the House very soon.
When is the committee scheduled to make a decision on whether to support an inquiry into the Department of Corrections, now that it has a fairly light work programme, as it has postponed it numerous times since I first put it on the agenda in January 2006?
That issue is currently before the committee. I cannot comment on proceedings that are still before the committee and are thus confidential.
Perhaps I could help. I seek leave to table a media statement of today’s date from the committee, advising that the matter of an inquiry into the Department of Corrections will be further considered on 20 February 2008.
