On 13 February 2008 I provided in an answer to a parliamentary question the information that in the past 3 years at Capital and Coast District Health Board there had been 10 deaths of patients on the waiting list for cardiac surgery there. At the time that answer was given, the information was correct to the best of everyone’s knowledge. The district health board concerned has subsequently done a further manual analysis of its records and has shown that a total of 11 deaths for the 3-year period is correct, and not 10.
