Honourable members, I present the determination of the High Court in the matter of an election petition relating to the Selwyn electoral district. The determination set out, at paragraph 128 of the decision, reads as follows: “Pursuant to section 243 Electoral Act 1993, we determine and certify to the Speaker of the House of Representatives that the first respondent Amy Adams was duly elected as the member of Parliament for the Selwyn electorate at the general election in 2008.” Copies of the determination are available from the Bills Office and the full text of the decision will be published on the “Judicial Decisions of Public Interest” web page.
