I move, That pursuant to section 38(1) of the Public Audit Act 2001, the House appoint CST Nexia as the independent auditor to audit the financial statements, accounts and other information of the Office of the Controller and Auditor-General for the financial years ending on 30 June 2010, 30 June 2011, and 30 June 2012, commencing with effect on 22 December 2009. It has been agreed that this measure is worthy of the House’s passing, as it appoints an independent auditor to audit the Government’s own auditor, the Office of the Auditor-General, as is set out in the motion .
