Yesterday in the course of asking questions in the House I made a statement that the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions had lodged an application to become a third party that did not include the correct authorisation. That statement is incorrect. I was going on the information available on the Electoral Commission’s website, and I now understand from discussion with the council that that website does not include all the information that is in the council’s application. In fact, the application is correct.

I raise a point of order, Madam Speaker. Yesterday in the House the member also said that the Public Service Association did not have its address on the website, and I wonder whether the member would like to apologise to the association, as well.

That is not actually a point of order, but I will respond.
I discussed the matter with the Public Service Association when it put in its application. The association agreed that it had not lodged the correct application and is supporting my amendment bill that I have put before the House, so I will not apologise.
