This Labour-led Government values the work of our volunteers, and continues to support them. The first round of 2007’s Support for Volunteering Fund has just opened. It will support Volunteering New Zealand and 10 volunteer centres around the country to continue serving their communities—volunteers like Hamish Hickley, who mentors disadvantaged children in Porirua, and Sonya Ford, who helps international students in Wellington.
